I became a Certified Online Business Manager® because I like, well actually I love, the day to day behind the scenes of running a business.
It's my favorite and I'm passionate about fine-tuning the unique operational management of an online business.
This passion was quickly discovered after starting my web design and email marketing implementation business. While I loved creating and designing websites, that’s the total tech geek in me I loved, even more, the backend operational management of running the business.
Working with my team, creating spreadsheets to analyze all the operational numbers, laying out the project from start to finish. Implementing and streamlining systems and processes.

All of these things that brought me sparkles of joy in my business are exactly what Tina Forsyth described as an Online Business Manager in her book titled Becoming an Online Business Manager.
The decision to become a Certified Online Business Manager® AKA OBM was pretty much a no brainer decision. Talking about strategy, processes, systems, oooh, and organization.
I'm a total geek when it comes to hammered-out step-by-step plans and looking for places we can be more efficient.

The answers are always in the numbers. They show us exactly where our biggest problems are.
After you have the data do you know what to do with it? Or maybe you’d rather walk on hot coals than look at the numbers in your business.
Are you trying to fix it all at one time? Sometimes the trick is finding a single fix that will have the domino effect in your business.
Mike Michalowicz said it perfectly in his book Fix This Next “Metrics are the scoreboard. They are how you measure whether you are winning the game.”
More often than not, this is the missing puzzle piece in businesses.
I’m not sure about you, Girlfriend, but I think it pretty frustrating when you can’t figure out where the heck that dang missing piece ended up at.

Really, what is the big deal about being a Certified Online Business Manager®?
It means that I’ve invested my time and energy into the training and certification to provide my clients with a high level of management skills.
I get that time is valuable and knowledge is even more valuable. When I do something I become the go-to, by investing in the training and certification it allowed me to fine-tuning my skills of running an online business. I had to demonstrate that I had the skills to successfully run an online business by passing the certification.
Girl, let me tell you that’s not a walk in the park and not everyone passes.
Not going to lie, I cried when I received my certification. You know that cry when all the stress is now leaving your body ugly cry. Quickly replaced with a little happy dance around the living room. Okay, little sidetrack let me get back to it. Receiving my certification demonstrates that I have the knowledge and expertise required to be a rockstar.
C’mon Girl, we were made for each other if you just had Nickelback run through your head. ‘Cause we all just wanna be big rockstars And live in hilltop houses, drivin' fifteen cars.
